Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

In 2004, President George W. Bush signed the reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act through the year 2011. The Academy joined the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Alliance (DHHA), a coalition of consumer and professional organizations, in advocating for important modifications to the IDEA law related to its impact on hearing-health.
